I’m Jennifer and live in Central Florida with my husband, daughter, and 3 fur babies (7 if you count the 4 outside feral cats we rescued). I am a sales rep with a global food company, but my true passion is home decor and DIY projects. Obsessed my be more like it!
Let me start by telling you I do not have any sort of formal education in decorating or design. I attended Florida Southern College as a criminology major. As far as decorating and design are concerned I just go with what feels right. I truly feel there are no rules or “have to” in design. There are so many beautiful things and ways to personalize, it’s all about what makes you happy and fits your lifestyle. I have decorated many of my friends’ spaces and helped with personalizing their homes that I decided it was time to share my journey. Our first home was in Willow Point, it was a 1980's condo and we brought it into the 21st century as best we could. Sadly, I did not document our progress and we grew out of our first home very quickly and I did not document the renovations. When we moved to our current home I semi-documented our journey and the transformations we have made here to turn a house into a home. It is a never ending evolution. I have an eclectic mix of vintage and modern style - mixing in my new found love for industrial touches. And so The Modern Vintage Ranch was born. Every home should tell a story of family, adventure and history.
